Blinky Grid Workshop
Posted by Matthew Little on
The Curious Electric Company roots are intertwined with Nottingham Hackspace. Most of the kits developed have initially been run as workshops at the hackspace, including our most popular kit: The Bat Listener.
Recently I ran a workshop at Nottingham Hackspace on surface mount soldering. I used an amazing kit from Wayne and Layne: The Blinky Grid. This is a small LED display that scrolls a programmable message or graphic. It's a great starter to surface mount devices (SMD).
Thanks to everyone who came along!
We hope to run more workshops and develop more interesing kits of our own for electronics and environmental education.
